Lightroom 5.2 came out of beta today and I’m pleased to see that Adobe has fixed a bug that was causing grief. Release 5.0 (5.1 was skipped for some reason) had lots of goodies in it, but when you went into spot removal tool, the hardware-assisted panning feature that allowed you to zoom in on the sky and pan quickly to find the next dust spot was broken. It worked great in all the Lightroom 4.x releases, but it was extremely slow in 5.0. However, Adobe must have noticed it and it is now fixed.
It’s always great to have the functions that come with a new release of software, but not when they break basic features of the product.
